Classes Dance Classes
Dance classes are available for children from the age of 2 1/2 up to 18. Our younger students learn Freestyle/Commercial, Latin & Ballroom. From year 7 onwards, as routines get more advanced, Freestyle/Commercial and Latin become separate lessons. All students can take IDTA examinations and perform in whole school shows at local theatres.
Musical Theatre Musical Theatre is composed of singing, dancing and acting. Students must be in school year two or above to join. They do not take examinations but work towards shows that are performed at local theatres at the end of each year. During classes we aim to build confidence whilst working on vocals, acting skills, further improving dance skills, and of course have fun at the same time. We often play games to help with our aims, but when working towards a show that will be our main focus. It is beneficial to take dance lessons to compliment Musical Theatre, but there is no obligation!
